PODCAST: What’s Missing from the Healthy Eating Prescription?

A couple weeks ago I was on a podcast with Dan Young, a naturopath in Cheyenne whose show is not only informative but lively and engaging.

We talked about how ours is the most well-resourced population in the planet’s history, with scores of cookbooks, recipes, cooking shows, nutrition and diet books, kitchen appliances, cool gadgets and a magnificent cornucopia of food from around the world. So how crazy is it that we still have trouble feeding ourselves well? How can that be?

The simple answer is that we’ve been hijacked! So when we try to do the healthy eating prescription, we struggle and often fail. What if it’s not entirely our fault? What if some bigger force is at work to thwart us?
