Glimpsing an Alternative Food Universe

There was a lovely post on LinkedIn from Carol Amendola D’Anca who leads immersive excursions in southern Italy so people can experience the lifestyle of longevity firsthand. Here’s what she had to say upon her return to the U.S. in late October:

I’ve just returned from Southern Italy, and with the last of the tourists gone, I witnessed something far richer than any gelato or ancient ruins. I saw a life fully kicked into gear—a vibrant, active rhythm where diet and lifestyle aren’t forced choices, but a simple, deep flow with the seasons.

How different is our food world! Seems like traveler here would be immersed in an eating lifestyle characterized by continual struggle and effort to eat like the experts advise.

Can you imagine a world characterized by a “vibrant, active rhythm where diet and lifestyle aren’t forced choices, but a simple, deep flow with the seasons?”

In other words, what if making health-giving meals was just normal and natural? Wouldn’t that make our lives so much easier–and healthier?!!

That’s what Meal Making Transformation is all about, i.e., creating this kind of culture in our own lives and in our communities. It isn’t hard, it just takes a shift in thinking. Listen to how this happened in my life.

Interesting that this idea that seems very new to us is actually very old!
